Nikonclub Editor’s Choice

This bee was actually commandeering the incoming and outgoing worker bees as though it is relaying information. Its ready stance seems as though it is going to take flight.

It is always nice to be recognised for your work in photography. This time it is a photo from my trip with the Pasir Ris Club to Cameron Highlands and this was taken at the bee farm close to the lower Bharat Tea Plantation.  Thanks to Mr Low’s superb 200mm Micro F4.0 Nikkor lens, I was able to capture this.

Capturing this without ring light and using the pop up flash is not as easy as it looks. A lot of breathing techniques being employed, fast shutter speeds, various ISO settings (to control noise) just to get the shots.  Breathless is really an understatement and it really took a lot of effort.
